If ever in Los Angeles, and in the mood for some superb chinese cuisine, venture out into the San Gabriel Valley for the time of your life! Not familiar with Rowland Heights? Neither am I! But in my opinion: it has some serious potential in terms of continued urban development. (it's streets and parking lots are designed to accommodate asian-centric shopping and dining development of the mid 1990's. Composed of a variation of shopping plazas, each catering to a specific ethic community (japanese, vietnamese, taiwanese, etc.), the community of Rowland Heights lacks intricate connectivity. The detailing of sidewalks, parking lots and pedestrian intersections intrigue me as points of redesign.
